Bazothini goes back home after her husband throws her out but she receives a less than warm welcome from her mother. At the end of their hurtful conversation, Bazothini confesses to killing her sister Nobuhle leaving her mother shocked.

Bazothini tries to make amends with Mhlengi's family but his mother can't stand the sight of her. At the wedding, while everything is finally going well for her, Mhlengi appears and Bazothini faints because she thought he was dead.

Bazothini tricks Mhlengi into thinking she will get back together with him but later her mother burns his house with him inside.

In a crime of passion, Mhlengi shoots Sbonelo after he finds him in bed with his wife, Bazothini. Later, Mhlengi uses his phone call in jail to call Bazothini and tell her to come see him in prison or he will spill the beans about how she is the one that killed her own sister, Nobuhle.

After Julia tells Sbonelo that it was Bazo who killed Nobuhle, Bazo turns the tables on her and leaves Sbonelo thinking it was Julia. Later, Bazo completes her plan by pushing Julia the stairs like she did Nobuhle. Mhlengi contemplates ruining Bazothini's life by revealing that he saw her kill her sister.

After Mhlengi's attempt at getting Bazo back with a new shirt and flowers fails, he tells Julia to go to a sangoma to help her and she is given some enlightening information. Later, Julia confronts Bazo and "Sbari" about what she knows about the night Buhle died, but will he believe her?

Things are not going well for Mhlengi when his in-laws kick him out so Bazothini is free to make moves on Math'amahle.

Julia tries to go see Sbonelo's daughter after hearing that she is ill but she comes face to face with Bazo's mother who gives her a piece of her mind. Later, Bazo's mother tells Sbonelo that Julia insulted her so that he turns against her.

Bazothini is feeling very anxious and guilty after pushing her sister to her death down the stairs. She later goes to Nobuhle's house to help with her niece and nephew get ready for school.

Bazothini can't take anymore of her mother comparing her with her sister. She decides to face her sister head on and tell her she stole her beautiful life but their argument turns heated and she pushes Nobuhle down the stairs instead.
