This week on Bootcamp Mzansi, we open our doors to four of rugby’s most recognizable faces, Gcobani Bobo, Lionel Mapoe, Howard Mnisi and Courtnall Skosan.

After back-to-back sessions of intense soccer training and conditioning, courtesy of football legends Doctor Khumalo and Brian Baloyi, we shine a spotlight on the intricacies of rugby training. And what better way to introduce our contestants to rugby, than through the stars that sparkle and shine on the field.

Gcobani Bobo started his career as a flanker and was selected for the South African U-19 side in 1998. He then spent two years playing for the Golden Lions U-21 outfit. His performances in the then Bankfin Currie Cup earned him selection to the SA 'A' team in 2001. He is currently a rugby coach.

Lionel Grenton Mapoe plays mostly as a centre or winger. He currently represents the Lions in Super Rugby and the Golden Lions in the Currie Cup. He previously played for the Cheetahs and joined the Bulls on loan for the 2013 Super Rugby season.

Howard Mnisi represented the Pumas at the 2006 and 2007 Under–18 Craven Week tournaments, which earned him a place in the Natal Sharks academy. He played for their Under–19 team in 2008 and their Under–21 team in 2010. He moved to Johannesburg to join the Golden Lions prior to the 2014 Currie Cup Premier Division season.

Courtnall Douglas Skosan currently plays with the Golden Lions in his regular position as winger. He played for the Blue Bulls at Under–19 and Under–21 level, earning a call-up to the SA Under – 20 team for the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship. He graduated to the senior team, making his debut for the Blue Bulls in the 2011 Vodacom Cup game against the Sharks XV. He remained at the Blue Bulls until the end of the 2013 season, then moved to the Golden Lions in 2014.
