In a heartwarming and emotional moment, the housemates gathered in the lounge to receive messages from their loved ones back home. But there was a catch, these messages came at a price of R50k, and not everyone chose to receive one.
As Biggie played the clips from the families on screen, the room was filled with tears and sniffles. It was a reminder of the sacrifices they've made to be part of the game and the loved ones they've left behind.

Philile, Siphesihle, and Sweet Guluva, were among those who chose not to receive messages, and that moment sparked conversations about their upbringing and family life. Guluva shared a sweet story about how his mom, who's an actress, inspired his outgoing personality. He even tried his hand at acting in varsity and landed a role. In that same conversation, Siphesihle admitted that she would've been overwhelmed with emotions if she had received a message from her family while Philile explained her tears after watching clips from her fellow housemates' families in the diary room.
"I felt so bad when I didn't get a message from my family," Philile said during her diary session. "I know it was my choice not to buy a message, but it still hurt."
Despite the mixed emotions, the housemates who received messages were grateful for the opportunity to connect with their loved ones. Well, almost all of them. Nate felt a bit let down that her message from home was too short!
"I was happy to get a message from my family, but it was so short!" Nate said to Biggie during her diary session. "I felt like I was robbed! I wanted to hear more from them." Nate still felt grateful and said she wouldn't take back spending her R50k on them."

The emotional rollercoaster was a reminder that even in the midst of a game, the housemates are still human beings with hearts and feelings. It's a moment that will stay with them forever and a reminder of the loved ones who are cheering them on from afar.
As the housemates continue on their journey in the Big Brother house, they'll carry the memories of this emotional moment with them and it'll be a continuous reminder that there are people outside rooting for them.
